Rapid Remedy is an innovative health care service that uses dual video conferencing technology to have a face-to-face doctor's visit with a board certified, state licensed family physician. Rapid Remedy provides a quick, convenient service that you can access from any personal computer equipped with a web camera, microphone, headset and high speed Internet access. You can also access Rapid Remedy from the Rapid Remedy workstation at your "Company".

What services are provided by Rapid Remedy?

The physician on Rapid Remedy can perform an evaluation of many minor illnesses, such as viral illnesses, muscle and joint disorders, skin disorders, external eye problems, allergies and headaches. Advice and health information can also be given to the patient. The physician is able to recommend treatments and prescribe medications. The physician can electronically forward any prescription to the pharmacy of the patient's choice. Use of Rapid Remedy is voluntary.

Who is eligible to use Rapid Remedy?

All employees and their dependents of "Company". You and your dependents do not need to be enrolled in the health insurance plan offered by "Company" in order to use Rapid Remedy.

Who is Rapid Remedy?

Rapid Remedy is a technology service that provides eligible individuals with access to medical evaluation and treatment by a licensed physician where communication is provided through dual video conferencing.

Who are the physicians on Rapid Remedy?

The physicians are experienced medical doctors who are board certified in family medicine and licensed to practice medicine in patients' state of residence. Rapid Remedy conducts a credentialing process that confirms licensure, board certification, DEA certification, NPI certification and other credentials.

Can I use Rapid Remedy as much as I want?

Yes. You and your dependents have unlimited use of Rapid Remedy, Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm.

Will I get a report of the Rapid Remedy video conference?

You can request a Rapid Remedy consult letter at the end of the video conference. You can have the consult letter sent to any email or fax number that you designate. Requests for Rapid Remedy consult letters can be made at later dates by entering customer service located on the home site.

Will my personal information be kept confidential?

Your records will be maintained in accordance with stringent security standards, including 256 bit encryption and off line archiving.

Will I be charged for using Rapid Remedy?

You will not be charged for using Rapid Remedy. It is being provided free of charge to you by your "Company". Use of Rapid Remedy is voluntary. Costs of other services, even if they arise from using Rapid Remedy will be your responsibility, i.e. prescription medications.

How do I access Rapid Remedy?

You access Rapid Remedy via a personal computer equipped with a web camera, microphone, headset and high speed Internet access. You do not need a PIN or a password.
Step 1: Simply type the secure Internet address in your web browser: www.rapidremedy.com
Step 2: Click on "Connect to a Doctor".
Step 3: Receive a confidential evaluation by a Board Certified, State licensed physician.

What are Rapid Remedy's hours of operation?

Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm.

Do I still need a personal physician?

Yes, Rapid Remedy is intended to supplement your current patient-physician relationship, not replace it.

Does Rapid Remedy make referrals to specialists?

No. Rapid Remedy physicians will refer patients to their primary care physician to secure appropriate specialist referrals.

Does Rapid Remedy order laboratory tests?

No. Laboratory tests are better addressed by your primary care physician.

How do I know if my personal computer is compatible with the Rapid Remedy website?

The Rapid Remedy website supports the following Internet browsers:

After you agree to the legal consent and waiver, a system compatibility check will be conducted. The following checks occur: enabled Adobe Flash Version 10.0+, Supported Internet browser, adequate bandwidth, enabled web camera, and an enabled microphone. In the event that system incompatibility occurs, instructions will be provided to help you enable the function.
